The major rules changes apply to the location cards. There are also some card changes you should take not of. The Big Steamy Thing - v2.0 January 29, 1999 - The biggest change is it names of the types of location cards. They have been changed from nouns to adjectives. Part of the reason for this change is that some of the previous type names were too restrictive. For example, the "city" level should also include towns and villages, so that was changed to municipal, and i few people suggested changing "planet" to something celestial, so it could also include things like The Sun and The Constellation. Here's the 5 new types. "spot" is now "local" "city" is now "municipal" "country" is now "national" "planet" is now "celestial" "plane" is now "planar" - Also, the relationship between spots and cities has been totally done away with. If you have New York City and Oakland in play, and you want to play Camp, you no longer have to declare which city it is in. - The original card mix had 101 cards. This was an accident, it was supposed to be 100. Mr. DJ got removed, because its effect was too hard to put into the right words. - Because of the elimination of the city/spot rule, the card for Istanbul (not Constantinople) has been reworded. - China has been removed because I could not find any actual instance of it being mentioned in a TMBG song, so the card effect was kept, and has been reassigned to Cuba (which is mentioned in "Purple Toupee"). Future plans: When the card list is finished for the next 100 cards, I'm going to start working on using existing cards and adding some more to construct a 50-card deck for each individual album. In a sad ripoff of other card games, I will include a strategy guide with each one. As soon as I have some extra money, I'm going to look for some boxes that are the right size, and start sending complete 100-card sets (with rule book) to anyone on the list who wants them... FREE! That's right, I want people to try out this game, and this is the best way.
